You are already enough. Let’s remember you this way.
Family, motherhood, and newborn photography rooted in presence. Based in Owen Sound, serving Grey County & beyond.
Hi! I’m Sophie
—an Owen Sound–based family photographer serving families across Grey and Bruce County. My work is all about presence over perfection. After a decade in film and television working behind the camera in various capacities, I’ve settled into what I love most: slowing down with people, witnessing their stories, and capturing the kind of honest moments that make life feel full.
I believe that beauty isn’t just in the big milestones—it’s in the quiet in-betweens. The way your child curls into your lap. The laughter and shrieks of joy. The messy hair and strawberry-stained faces. Those are the memories worth keeping, and those are the moments I want to preserve for you.
Whether it’s maternity, family, or newborn portraits, or just a Sunday afternoon at home, my approach is unposed, soulful, and deeply human. You don’t need to perform—you just need to be. I’ll take care of the remembering.
Interested in birth photography? Contact me to ask about special rates for births in the Owen Sound area.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable, cared for, and seen. Together we’ll capture connection, not performance.
Not sure what to expect? Let’s talk it through.
Stories that feel like home.
Family photography isn’t about looking perfect—it’s about remembering how it felt. From the small gestures to the in-between moments, these images are an honest reflection of life.

Hello, you (yes - you!) I’m Sophie, and I have a bad habit of hiding my face in photos. If you’re anything like me, you probably don’t love the idea of posing awkwardly for a camera.
Because, let’s face it: that’s not real life.
Photography for me has always been about telling stories. Real stories - the stories that make up our lives, and the lives of the people we love.
For me, it all started with wanting to photograph my own family from the time I was very young. First it was with my dad’s camcorder that recorded video on a little tape, and later a Fisher Price film camera that I got for Christmas. My tools have changed over the years, but my reason has stayed the same:
I believe that everyday life, while mundane at times, can also be beautiful if you know where to look.
Let’s get to know each other, and start making some memories.
Here’s how it works:

“The photographs your children will care most about someday will not be the ones that show how good you looked…they will be the ones that help them remember how it felt to be loved by you.”
